With the overwhelming passage of the Russian sanctions amendment in the U.S. Senate, a related effort has stalled in the House due to a procedural hurdle - likely to be addressed after the weeklong July 4th Congressional recess.

Hedgeye is hosting a call on Russian sanctions with the Deputy Director of the Kennan Institute for Advanced Russian Studies of the Woodrow Wilson Center, William Pomeranz. Dr. Pomeranz practiced international law in the U.S. and Moscow, advising clients on investment in the Russian Federation as well as on U.S. anti-money laundering requirements, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), U.S. export controls, and homeland security. In addition, he teaches Russian law at the Center for Eurasian, Russian, and East European Studies at Georgetown University.

Our call on July 6 at 10:00 am coincides with President Trump attending the G-20 in Hamburg, Germany on July 7 where he is scheduled to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin for the first time.

We will discuss the implications on businesses in the U.S. and globally as well as what this means for National Security.
