Exclusive event to feature premier investors and thought leaders

SAN FRANCISCO and STAMFORD, Conn., May 2, 2017 -- Hedgeye Risk Management announced today that it has expanded its Macrocosm investing conference series to the West Coast following successful East Coast events, including the most recent at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City this past November.

Hedgeye is hosting Macrocosm West 2017 in San Francisco’s financial district on May 3rd featuring Passport Capital founder and CIO John H. Burbank III.

“We’re excited about the continued success of Macrocosm and look forward to bringing the breadth and depth of discourse to California,” said Hedgeye CEO Keith McCullough. “Some of the smartest minds in the world will be together in a small, interactive setting designed to foster a free flowing exchange of ideas.”

The inaugural Macrocosm conference featured Greenlight Capital’s David Einhorn and Marketfield’s Michael Aronstein among other notable investors. It was held in Stamford, Connecticut where the independent financial research and online media firm is headquartered.

Macrocosm is an exclusive, invite-only event which showcases premier thought leaders and investors from across the globe.

Additional speakers at this year’s Macrocosm West include Hedgeye Managing Director Neil Howe, a historian, economist and demographer credited with coining the term “Millennials” and best known for his book The Fourth Turning coauthored with William Strauss on generational cycles in American history.

Also speaking is Lieutenant General (Ret.) U.S. Army Daniel W. Christman, a senior advisor to Hedgeye Potomac Research and senior counselor to the president of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce will address geopolitical risks. Christman is a career military officer who retired from active duty in 2001, served for five years as the superintendent of the United States Military Academy at West Point. He also served for two years as assistant to the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

Hedgeye CEO Keith McCullough will moderate a Q&A session for each speaker.
