MGM INKS MOP10.8-BILLION CONTRACT FOR COTAI PROJECT Macau Business

MGM China Holdings has inked a MOP10.8 billion (US$1.35 billion) contract with the China State Construction Engineering group as the main contractor of its Cotai project.  The filing states that the construction works are anticipated to start on or around January 2014 and to be completed by April 2016.

MACAU LEGEND WANTS 350 NEW GAMING TABLES Macau Business

Macau Legend Development has applied to the government for 350 extra gaming tables.  If the request is approved, the new tables would not be included in the current table cap regime, the firm said yesterday.

The company expects to operate 500 gaming tables by 2016, when Fisherman’s Wharf redevelopment is complete.  Macau Legend, headed by businessman David Chow Kam Fai, is aiming to raise up to HK$4.4 billion (US$567,000) net from its initial public offering on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.  Shares are expected to start trading on June 27 with the ticker 1680.
