Palantir (PLTR) won the rights Wednesday to sell up to $99.6 million of software to the U.S. Department of State, but the contract doesn’t change Ami Joseph’s stance that the data analytics company is a decade past its prime.

Hedgeye’s Technology analyst says to look as far back as his 2018 interview with former U.S. Cybersecurity Commander Keith Alexander for reason to be bearish on the Peter Thiel-founded company based in Denver.

“Already then, Palantir was no longer the right system for the United States battlefield,” explains Joseph in this clip from The Macro Show. “And it is also true for the enterprise, where the era of big data means Palantir is no longer the right product to run centralized data architectures and systems.”
