This morning on The Call @ Hedgeye, Industrials analyst Jay Van Sciver and Macro Policy analyst JT Taylor discuss the macro implications of a potential labor strike disruption for freight railroads.

“There is a potential freight rail strike looming with a Friday deadline that can obviously effect the supply chain in a major way,” explains Taylor.

“For the most part you can assume that the Railway Labor Act will result in those workers going back to work in this environment. They are regulated monopolies in that sense,” notes Van Sciver. “I think you see the rising tide of unionism really across all transports in particular.”
