This morning on The Call @ Hedgeye, Technology analyst Ami Joseph and Hedgeye CEO Keith McCullough discuss why Microsoft (MSFT) and the entire SaaS industry are positioned for a bigtime slide in share price.

“There is a theory that Microsoft is going to be fine and everybody else is going to suck, and it’s just literally impossible,” says Joseph. “It’s easy to see the secular positives of Microsoft today. But, as you have pointed out a billion times, it’s when the cycle goes the wrong direction that people suddenly see the secular voodoos.”

“You don’t see secular problems until you see cyclical slowdown. Everybody should write that down and remember it for the rest of the time you’re blessed to be playing this game,” comments McCullough.

“If you want to really do this for a long time, you have to have a process that’s objective, data driven, and understands the difference between cyclical and secular.”
