In this clip from today’s edition of The Macro Show, Hedgeye CEO Keith McCullough hits on the January CPI print, and why he signaled to subscribers to Short QQQ before the print was released.

“If you thought the CPI [print] was going to be as expected or lower, put a bag on your head. C’mon.

Yesterday was a wonderful shorting opportunity in #1 thing today of the Top 3 things, the Nasdaq (QQQ).

It said it right in the subject of the Early Look; I don’t know if I’ve ever used that title, but if I did, it was in the back in ’08 after a mother of a bear market bounce; and that’s what you get in bear markets, big bounces.

Do you have any experience trading these things, do you have the right Signals or not?”
