In this morning’s edition of The Macro Show, Hedgeye Healthcare analyst Tom Tobin breaks down the data surrounding Delta Variant, hospitalization rates, and case numbers that give him comfort with America's overall situation pertaining to COVID.
“What's making me much more comfortable with #DeltaVariant (and the other COVID variants we'll surely get) are the vaccination rates. The absolute rate of hospitalizations is extremely low,” explains Tobin as he highlights the at-risk demographics and why the U.S. is well-suited for handling new variants.
"The unvaccinated population is largely under 65 where the risk of death is significantly lower. The vast majority of Americans over 65 are vaccinated.”
