In 2014, we were sick and tired of hearing narrative after narrative on "Old Wall" TV. We created The Macro Show for everyday investors looking for a better way to access real-time investable market analysis.

Track trends in stocks, commodities, currencies, and interest rates across the globe every morning before the market opens with former hedge fund veterans, Hedgeye CEO Keith McCullough and Director of Research Daryl Jones.

To help keep you Macro Aware, we've included video highlights from this week's key themes from The Macro Show. We’ve also transcribed brief excerpts to speed up your idea generation process.

Enjoy and have a great weekend.

#stickystaglfation & Macro recap

"The Commodities Index (CRB) was 1 point off its cycle-highs. Is that the Great Deflation? It's not even disinflation on a one-day basis. As long as we continue to model it correctly, we will have higher numbers, particularly now in the fourth quarter."

"This is not transitory, this is TRENDing high and rising inflation to new cycle-highs. Yes, it'll slow at some point, but to levels that neither you nor the current Fed policymakers have ever seen before. That's called #StickyStagflation."

Oil is going higher (AND Price targets are BULL$#!T)

“The target is daily. When a hunter goes into the bush looking for live animals, he knows the animals move. The target changes.”

“This is going to be the largest draw on crude oil in a decade. And this is with the rest of the world reopening. And then there’s oil demand; we’re already running at 3 million barrels per day in June. That could easily be 5-5.5 million. So you’re going to have a huge draw as demand swoops in.”

Small cap(itualtion)s

"The Pods do trump the Quads; remember, the Pods gave birth to the Quads. What generally happens is yes, the index will go down (as the Russell already has been).

But systematically (and asymmetrically), if you have a stock idea that shows Pod 1 & 2 accelerations and you bought more at the low end of the Risk Range™ Signal, you'll get paid on that all day long."

"Small Cap stock picking? It was easy; now it gets harder. You can use the factor exposures I discussed in the Early Look, which include Quality and Organic Growth (longs in Quad 3). Those companies should go up a lot no matter their market cap, and you should get big buying opportunities in them."
